Stakeholder Engagement & Budget Management Brings Therapy Hub To Colonnades

Colonnades Shopping Centre is now home to a therapy hub for people with sensory needs. Working for Vicinity Centre, the scope of the project included demolition works, New Shopfront and Airlocks, external lighting upgrades, pathways, gardens and car park creation as well as base building services for the Can:Do Group tenancy. In addition to the Can:Do Group tenancy works, Sarah Constructions were also requested to create a new mall access for the Datacom Tenancy.

A Design and Construct (D+C) contract, this project also included tenant design reviews of lease agreement requirements for new tenancies, as well as a new mall access for the Datacom tenant which involved a complex custom designed staircase in the mall.

Specialist spaces within Can:Do South now meet the needs for speech therapy, occupational therapy, assistive technology and Auslan training, among others. Operating in a live retail environment, this project demonstrated the Sarah teams’ effective communication, budget management and stakeholder engagement skills.
