A strategic and inspirational leader, Adrian’s career spans more than 30 years in commercial construction and development. As the Sarah Constructions CEO, Adrian is passionate about leading and developing our people, creating safe workplaces and driving continuous improvement.
Adrian excels in the ability to narrate the business direction and vision to allow the autonomy and the space for our people to bring the vision to life and to drive collective success.

Serving on various business and community boards aligns with his commitment to the wider community and the Industry. Adrian is currently Director of Youth Inc, an adjunct lecturer for the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Adelaide, an immediate past SA Division President of the Property Council and National Board Director of the Property Council.

About James Sarah
James Sarah lives and breathes the values of strong relationships, high-quality solutions focused construction, long term sustainability of the business and creating an environment where the Sarah team thrives and excels.
James has been involved in the business for over 30 years and has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Building Studies) from the SA Institute of Technology (now UniSA), an MBA from Bond University and a Dip CDC (Company Directors Course) from the Australian Institute of Company Directors of which he is a Fellow. James is also an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School OPM (Owner/President Management) program.
Outside of Sarah, James has held several non-executive directorships in the not for profit sector. He has also been heavily involved in industry associations having been President of both the Australian Institute of Building of which he is a Fellow, and the Property Council of Australia of which he is an Honorary Life Member.
James and Tim jointly lead the Sarah team to deliver on our values and enrich the relationships with all stakeholders.

About Tim Sarah
Tim Sarah lives and breathes the values of strong relationships, high-quality solutions focused construction, long term sustainability of the business and creating an environment where the Sarah team thrives and excels.
Tim is a chartered accountant by profession and holds a Bachelor of Economics, an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a Diploma of CDC from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Both James and Tim are experienced public company directors and Fellows of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Tim is currently a director of Anglicare SA Ltd. He has been a director of Uniting Care Wesley Bowden Inc., KeyInvest Ltd, and chair of St Andrews School Walkerville Inc. Tim has sat on the Master Builders Association of South Australia Inc.’s Committee of Management, and the SA State Government’s Small Business Development Council.
Tim and James jointly lead the Sarah team to deliver on our values and enrich the relationships with all stakeholders.

About Terry Tsapaliaris
Drawing on over 24 years industry experience across a broad range of project types, Terry delivers strategic guidance to the operational direction, training and development of our people and the financial performance of our business.
A lateral thinker, Terry supports our people to push the boundaries of traditional construction methods and challenges status quo. Implementing a big picture perspective, Terry identifies skillsets within the business to align our most effective teams, ensuring the right resources deliver the right results for our customers and our people.
Terry is passionate about supporting innovation and creative thinking to re-imagine and reshape a better construction industry. Through his roles on both the MBA Contractors and MBA Hi-Viz Committee’s, and by proactively supporting continual improvement at Sarah, Terry champions ways to improve the professionalism of our industry.
Elected as RAP Champion by his peers, Terry has demonstrated true passion and drive towards facilitating and encouraging our RAP journey to date. Through a broad understanding of construction and high-level communication skills, Salem manages key project relationships from stakeholders, through to contractors. Salem combines this with an inclusive, team focused approach, working to people’s strengths and recognising their contribution.
With a genuine belief that we are only as good as our people, Salem invests time and energy into supporting and developing graduates at Sarah. Sharing his first-hand knowledge of both the challenges and rewards of working in construction, Salem helps guide graduates in their career development.

About Jon Anderson
With over 18 years’ experience successfully delivering complex projects, Jon understands client needs and looks outside the box to ensure best possible solutions. Drawing on his environmental qualifications, Jon is at the forefront of Sarah’s commitment to sustainability, looking at new and different ways of delivering construction in South Australia to reduce our environmental impact.
Jon’s ability to inspire people to think differently and feel comfortable to try new things, underpins his role as the Business Manager for Sarah Build. Combining structured problem solving and the ability to manage many moving parts, Jon delivers creative solutions.
An advocate for the next generation and new ways of thinking, Jon proactively creates opportunities for young staff to take on responsibilities for career growth, and he mentors the Adelaide Uni and UniSA undergraduates.

About Richard Hough
Leveraging over 30 years industry experience, combined with high-level communication skills, Richard provides a professional client interface and supports relationship management across projects from tender through to implementation.
Implementing a firm but fair approach, Richard supports our people and sub-contractors with his knowledge and experience to help them achieve their best results. Through his calm and empathetic approach, Richard is proactive addressing issues early and conflict resolution.
With a passion to create a greater skilled workforce within our industry, Richard is dedicated to building a suite of training resources to assist in the training and development of our staff and sub-contractors to support the future industry leaders.

Marek combines over 18 years experience in construction with high level attention to detail, to successfully coordinate his team in the management of construction estimates and tender bids. Through an extensive knowledge of the local subcontractor and supplier network, Marek delivers excellence to our clients across estimating, cost planning and value management.

Through a collaborative and inclusive approach, Sean creates mitigating strategies to support the transition from concept drawing into detailed design. Sean provides informed insights to ensure buildability input helping to identify time constraints and potential scheduling issues at tender phase.
With a passion to support and assist the development of younger or inexperienced staff at Sarah, Sean provides informal mentoring and coaching to build internal capability.
