Solutions Focused: Following disruptions to a major concrete pour, Sarah Constructions engaged with the structural engineer to review the implications and rectify the situation.

Supply Chain Shortages: Industry labour and material shortages were managed with early deliveries and site loading, making alternative material reviews and by supplementing contractors with additional labour resources where appropriate.

Achieving Final Client Requests: The request of an additional carpark level (equalling 50 carparks) demanded construction to stop and saw a significant redesign, challenging the project handover. Sarah Constructions and the project team identified and mitigated the impacts resulting from the disruptions. Following several workshops and input from relevant authorities, were able to implement the works with its subcontractor group.

Problem Solving Approach: Sarah worked as a true partner providing seamless, professional project management throughout the planning and construction phases of the project and were always responsive and receptive in light of any challenges.

Building Great Relationships: The project team connected with Cancer Council SA beyond the bricks and mortar, they worked hard to help bring CCSA’s vision of an integrated cancer building to life and also raised considerable funds along the way to support their vital work.

Vision Brought to Life: The end product is a high quality building that encapsulates the essence of who CCSA are. It brings together all of their services and supports into one, central location. It is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, creating a home away from home for all South Australians affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Valuable Project Management: All whilst maintaining quality product, the project team made a range of alternative selections and design solutions to deliver value management for the client.

Industry Experience: Combining the experience of our project team, design managers and senior management, solutions and strategies were provided to the client led design changes and rectification works, including a staged handover during construction to alleviate program pressures and allow Cancer Council to occupy the space at the earliest possible opportunity.

Honour Our Word: Throughout construction, Sarahs and the project team contributed to and initiated a range of fund-raising initiatives in support of Cancer Council SA and its cause, totaling over $84,000.
