A New Heart for Community at Warrina Park
In June 2024, Sarah Constructions commenced work on a new 150m² Community Centre at Warrina Park Retirement Village. Designed to enhance residents’ quality of life, the facility features a light-filled hall, library, bar, kitchen, and bathroom amenities, alongside an outdoor alfresco area. The modern, inviting interiors and versatile communal spaces provide residents and their families with opportunities to relax, connect, and enjoy a greater sense of community.

Design Challenges and Creative Solutions
Delivering within a live retirement village required thoughtful planning to ensure minimal disruption to residents. Noise impacts were managed by adjusting site working hours, while access constraints posed by low-hanging power lines and a single-entry road required carefully coordinated deliveries. Throughout, emergency service access was maintained without interruption.

This project with Warrina Homes showcased our capabilities and established a foundation of trust for future developments. The Community Centre has since been used as a benchmark for design, finishes, and functionality across other Warrina sites.
Project Outcomes
Despite the complexities of the site, our team achieved practical completion five weeks ahead of schedule, with minimal disruption to residents. The new Community Centre now stands as a welcoming hub, fostering connection and enhancing day-to-day life for the Warrina Park community.
