Sarah Future-Proofs Regional Town’s High School & Provides Student Learning Along The Way

The revitalised Murray Bridge High School (MBHS) delivers a connected, multi-disciplinary and contemporary learning environment to engage all learners. Construction included a new Tech Studies Building with 3 workshops, the two-storey Sturt Building, which houses the new middle school, special needs & disability unit and 20 classrooms. The new Sturt Building features noise-minimising baffles arranged in the shape of the River Murray, as well as specialised areas for Aboriginal and inclusive education, robotics, the school’s breakfast club and other activities.

Works also included refurbishment of the Art and Entrepreneurial Centres, new timber decking, canopy and extensive upgrade of services and landscaping works. Outside are two sensory gardens and a yarning circle, complete with fire pit.

The project delivered state-of-the-art construction outcomes to MBHS, and also provided an opportunity to boost the local economy and provide integrated learning opportunities to students interested in a career in construction.
