Library Redevelopment Delivers Contemporary Learning Spaces

Completion of the Secondary Campus Library redevelopment at St Michael’s College has successfully delivered the next stage of the school’s Master Plan. With an aim to enhance the contemporary learning practices, the extensive internal refurbishments included a variety of new flexible spaces such as presentation, collaboration and quiet spaces, a new entry feature, meeting space and acoustic treatments.

Sarah Constructions were successful in tendering these works following the successful completion of Stage 1 at the St Michael’s College Primary Campus. The project includes a cluster of ‘Think Tanks’, construction of a new entrance airlock canopy, study areas, a podcasting room and landscaping with associated building services and external works.

At the heart of the new flexible library design is “Home”, an inviting place where curiosities, research, reflection, creativity, innovation and collaboration are encouraged, and wellbeing is nurtured.
