Catholic Church Endowment Society, Tenison Woods Catholic Primary School

In a highly competitive tender market, Sarah Constructions was awarded construction of the new Tenison Woods School facilities and associated landscaping. The project involved construction of a new single-storey building on the existing school campus, featuring 6 general learning spaces, with a central learning commons area, unisex bathrooms, associated break-out spaces and external landscaped learning and play spaces.

Sarah Constructions was engaged by the Catholic Church Endowment Society and given a key remit to provide a point of difference for the school through high quality materials, aesthetics, and large learning spaces. Also of importance was the open-plan layout of the building and multiple skylights for natural light, the largest of which was 2m in diameter and weighed over 400kg.

The look and feel of the completed development has brought a sense of excitement to the students, teachers and indeed the local community. For Tenison Woods Catholic School, the new building provides both an impressive home for their year 6 and 7 students, and also the opportunity to lease out the new facilities.
